I am interested in getting C4D myself but this forced install is truly disgusting. This is not how you integrate third party software into AE, you should not have to rely on the full original install to include a small part of the software integration in AE itself, or it should not present itself as its own application. I had no idea where this piece of software came from when it appeared in my computer and had to search online to find out it was installed by adobe. This is totally messed up and you guys should know better.
There isn't any two ways around it, this is wrong in too many ways.
1. I need to be informed that software is being installed into my computer
2. I need to be given an option of what gets installed on my computer
3. You shouldn't require this much bloat in software to integrate just the rendering engine of something else. This should've been a plugin that you can download if you own C4D, not an integration that you cannot opt out of.
Find a way to make sure users know that new software belongs to your installer so we don't immediately assume we've got a virus, and don't be using up our storage space randomly to include unrequested things like this. Adobe doesn't serve the one community, we are individual paying customers, you guys seem to forget that. I have better support from free subscriptions and software than this. Its easy to forget that I am paying a ton of money for something that should be better.Wesley Lim supported this idea ·
