YES!!! Media Browser is so unbelievably frustrating with the constant refreshes!

I had a few hundred clips to go through and Media Browser was so frustrating that I stopped what I was doing, went online, and spent $300 OF MY OWN MONEY on Resolve just to browse the media.

In Resolve one must manually refresh folders - it's a simple right+click option. This is the way it needs to be done in Premiere.

    1. System:
    Core i9 7900X
    64 GB RAM
    Win 10 Pro x64
3x SSD (OS, Win Temp, App Temp)
    RAID HDD for storage
    1x 2080ti
    1x 2070

    2. New project: same result, will not play
    3. Import old project into new project: will not play
    4. Deleted Media Cache before original post

I assembled the project in After Effects, then imported the AE project into Premiere. The AE project plays in real time (full resolution, no stuttering, no dropped frames) within Premiere - and it doesn't even play that well directly in AE.

FYI, I did one other project in PP 2020 and experienced playback issues and crashes with still images rendered to 1080p (Avid CODEC, .mxf wrapper). At times I had had to reboot my workstation and reopen the project to get playback working again. The program crashes were random, I could not replicate them. This was a 60 sec project, mostly cuts and cross dissolves, no color correction.

I did reinstall PP 2019 and the still image sequences and AVID .mxf media played back fine.

PP 2020 is simply awful. I have a new project, 1080p, three clips (all image sequences). It won't play even a single clip - no audio, no transitions, no color correction/grading, no effects. Just a 5 second sequence of either TIFF or JPEG images. My workstation is a Core i9 7900, 64GB, 1x 2080ti, 1x 2070. PP 2019 was 100% real time, full quality, with effects, cc, transitions.

I've tried rendering the image sequence in Media Encoder to AVID/Sony/ProRes/Cineform with no improvement in PP2020 performance.

I installed the latest Studio drivers from 2/1/2020 and had zero improvement.
