Definitely a great time saver!
Thanks for creating a mockup and for the productive conversation in the comments, we’re going to take a closer look at implementation details next.Cheers,

It's really bizarre that this isn't an option! The best option I've found so far is to click the wrench icon and switch to the waveform view in the source window ... but of course that means I still can't see audio and video at the same time, as is possible in FCPX.

Feature request submitted for scrubbing without pitch change, a la Premiere-style scrubbing, as well as options for default playback speed.

I’m happy to share that the team has been implementing folders (aka bins) for organization as part of a larger workflow initiative. We should be able to make this available in the public beta builds later this year with the official release following.
If you haven’t already heard, several Adobe applications such as Audition, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Character Animator, are making daily public betas available to ALL Creative Cloud members. This will give everyone a chance to sneak peek new features and bug fixes, as well as provide feedback and guidance on how those features progress. For more information, please visit https://theblog.adobe.com/introducing-public-beta/ and click the “Beta Apps” section in your Creative Cloud Desktop application.

It's bananas that there's no way to organize a library of frequently-used audio files into a bin in Audition. This has been a feature of Premiere going all the way back to when I first learned it in 1999, and I can't believe it hasn't been implemented in Audition.

Oof this feature can't be implemented soon enough.
