You could improve PP by responding to your **** official bug boards! This is beyond frustrating and the fact that it took Trent Happel two months to respond to this is indicative of how much they give a **** about their customers. If my employer wasn't invested in Adobe suite, I'd jump ship immediately.

Yes - fix this! There is no purpose to it and it is making me seriously consider leaving Adobe for Blackmagic. That no one from Adobe is responding to this is depressing.
Hi Dacia,
I'll see if I can capture the ghost text. It's tricky, as it's a ghost! A little info: the Mogrt was built with dummy text in the text fields to help editors know what to include. What is happening is that existing essential graphics files in the timeline suddenly have the "empty" text fields repopulated with the dummy text from the initial mogrt. Does that make sense? For example, I have a lower 3rd mogrt with a first name field and a last name field. The dummy text is "John" in first name and "Doe" in last name. We only wanted first names in the video so the "last name" field was left blank. Now, with update to 14.0.1, the last name field is now populated with "Doe."
We have had to go back and check all projects and manually delete the words in the "empty" fields. It also changed the alignment of the text as well, to make matters worse.
Just to let you know what I've tried: I opened the mogrt in the latest AE (they were built in 2018 and 2019) and resaved it in 2020. It made no difference. We have about 20 different template mogrts and it's happening to all of them. Not sure if building from scratch in 2020 would make a difference. I don't have time to test that at the moment.
