i color in ae set to rec 709 2,4 then link to premiere, then on output apply the qt gamma cube.
but my friends only use resolve. guess it's my fault I don't purchase a lut capable monitor or box.
this for sure deserves more votes.

3 years later, and still no way around this. enabling display color management is a joke in premiere, let alone media encoder. considering premiere pro is either used for people not worrying about color in professional environments, or content creators - both groups would benefit from being able to toggle between the two color spaces. or at least a more accurate way to look up icc display profiles into rec 709? this is ridiculous

Hey, i found a workaround. At least, this worked for me in premiere.
I have previews set to cinemascope (2520x1080) using a quicktime wrapper with dnx hd as the codec. When i go to export i match the sequence settings except i bump up the codec to dnxhr 10bit.
Tested this method, keeps my pixel ratio. I'm unsure if it's because the wrapper is quicktime or if because i'm going to 8bit to 10bit or because i am using the preview files in a differrent way BUT i can confirm it works for my direct intermediate workflow.
dang. this is a bug?
