    I would disagree with this.
There are times in an edit where something doesnt work and you need to back track, and there are not enough undos to take you back to where you wanted to go. Also Auto saves have bailed me out numerous times from a corrupted project. I think this feature would do more harm then good.
You can always get into the habit of saving every few minutes. I've always felt that if i crash and have to redo work its on me for not saving more frequently.

Thanks again for the feedback. We have made sure to have created items in our database for all actionable items. We are hoping you will be pleased by some of the changes we have made in future releases. Please continue to engage with us.

Note that in the future, while this list is awesome, it is much easier for us to change status on completed items if they are single entry.

We may close this one eventually but will keep the other individually tracked items open with status

Here's an example of how the 'Burn Captions Into Video' option fails to export properly. This is an older show from the 60's that were cleaning up for obvious reasons.

1)1st screenshot shows timeline with offending word removed

2)2nd shot shows media player playing clip with offending caption still in place.

This is with h264 on Premier 12.1.2 (2018)

    George Ramsay commented  ·

    1) BURN IN- This feature has been a wreck since 2016. It never worked until 2019, however exported changes in captions don't appear. Its as if ME pulls the caption data from the original file and not whats on the timeline.

2)POP ON/ PAINT ON: POP ON 708 Captions tend not to appear or disappear when there are gaps in the captioning or at the start of a segment. This can be fixed by changing captions to PAINT ON. But it would be preferable to use POP ON captions. Again something that has not been addressed for years

Project manager hangs for me in 2019 when it goes to 'analyze project'. I downgraded the project to 2018 and it works fine.

    Hi Andrew,

your comments are as thoughtful as they are timely.
While I usually would have to close this item as it isn’t specific enough, I’m gonna leave it open so others can see this and add comments:

Please come back and vote for exactly the items that you feel need a V2, some polish, or just remove friction in areas that have grown over time. Add a new request if what you’d like to see revised isn’t discussed yet.

We’re already seeing good patterns on User Voice as to which items and areas would be good candidates for upcoming releases. You can see some of the top runners already marked as “Under Review”. And while that won’t tell you with which release exactly we’ll have things ready for you, it’s an indicator of an investment we’re making to improve features and workflows where most users express their needs.

    Cheers,…

We anticipate resolving this problem in an upcoming release, and I will update this UserVoice item to “Completed” when the new functionality is fully tested and available.

With newer Apple systems, especially those based on the T2 chipset, many previously singular states of the Built-in audio interface are now exposed as completely different virtual devices by MacOS. One used to be able to plug in a pair of headphones and let the OS re-route the output automatically. Now, this either requires a manual change, or utilizing new frameworks for the same functionality.

Thanks for your feedback, and please stay tuned.

Just to add this issue has been around since 2015. I work with Bose quiet sound 35 bluetooth headphones. They sound fine with every other app on the Mac. When booting up premiere they get switched to ch1 8000 sample rate. The only way to fix this is to fumble around with the MAC OS audio settings, Audio midi controller, and the audio hardware tab in premiere. Eventually it will "catch" and output 2 ch at 44.1 khz. So it boots up sounding like a bad AM radio. I've found that it gets harder and harder to force Premier to document sample rate to 44.1khz. the audio hardware sample rate only has a menu for 8000 is unbelievable. BTW neither FCPX or DAVINCI have this problem. Another epic fail by Adobe. Not only was it just awful design but it hasn't been fixed in practically 5 years. Way to listen to your customers!

I use a pair of Bose Quiet comfort 35 headphones at work. Every time i have to clear my prefs they default back to a 1Ch 8000 Sample rate. Even though my Mac is perfectly capable of audio output at 44.1K. Premiere sounds worse then an AM radio station in my headphones. Even though i try to force the hardware to document sample rate it takes forever to get premiere to output correctly with 2 CH 44.1K audio. This has been going on since 2015 and has this gotten worse in 2019. version after version and adobe fixes NOTHING!!! Why are we paying for a yearly subscription, so that you can make things worse? 5 years and its never been fixed. Pathetic!

Have had the same problem since 2015.....It hasn't been fixed in 5 years.

608/708 captions will export off the timeline, but not in AME. My guess is it has something to do with the dynamic link
    Please fix
