Hi folks! A quick update to let you know that three new Multi-Frame Rendering features went live in the After Effects public beta (18.4×37 and later) earlier this week:

    • Speculative Preview: When AE is idle (you’re checking your email, grabbing a coffee or even just browsing effects), it will render your timeline in the background so you’re ready to preview when you get back.
    • Multi-Frame Rendering in Adobe Media Encoder Beta: Enable MFR in the AE Beta and export in the background up to 3x faster.
    • Render notifications on desktop, iOS and Android: AE can let you know when it’s done no matter where you are via the Creative Cloud app. (Fun bonus: notifications will even work on your smartwatch!)

Here’s a link with more info on each feature:
    https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects-beta/multi-frame-rendering-is-here-aka-the-multithreading-you-ve-been-asking-for/m-p/12131175#M925

Let us know how things are working for you on the beta forums. And stay tuned for more Multi-Frame Rendering…

There is some very similar happening to me, but I'm using another type font: Montserrat.

After having added a new MOGRT (created on AE) to the timeline, I can't edit it or preview this part of the video. It freezes or slows sown. Worst: other MOGRTs previously added stop working also. Some got a zebra pattern on them.

If I restart the project, everything works again, but just until the next issue.

It is very annoying. The MOGRT is just a type animated with animator + PIN&BOXEs plugin, which I have been using for a long time without problems. Until now...

I have a MackBook Pro (2018 i9, 32M, 1TB SSD) and a BlackMagic eGPU (560 Radeon), connected through TB3, and I can't tell you: After Effects ignores all of it. The AE is eGPU enabled, the RAM shared is 27GB and the sracth disk (SSD) has 600GB. However, the app doesn't matter about all of this, specially when there are audiotracks or short footage clips along the timeline. Preview sucks and it takes too long to work on a couple of frames.

It is very disappointing. What is it happening here?

Adobe, please speed up After Effects. Make it take advantage of eGPUs.

Adobe stop fighting against Apple and make your5 products to run faster on Mac OS. I have used DaVince Resolve instead of Premiere Pro to edit and color grading cause they a much more faster on my Mac.

My AE is crashing all times I open and try to render a comp with some expressions. I have been using this comp for a month without any trouble, but since yesterday, it crashes AE all times.

This comp has some expressions to make a shape layer size follows a text layer. I have attached the AEP file.
