All the border hacks (radial blur, paint bucket, grid) assume that the images are the same size. In my project, I have almost 200 images all from different sources and no standard size. None of the hacks work across so many images. Border is a BASIC effect requested by a lot of clients. And if it's just a few photos I create a matte and do it - but I'm not going to do it for this project. C'mon Adobe - give us a border and not only that - a border which corrects itself if the image is cropped. On FCP7 - basic border - copy/paste attributes across all photos - done! I think people have been looking for this feature since 2009 - I can't believe this is the only request I have found for it.

Track Mattes worked the way they are supposed to in FCP - they were called Travel mattes and I'm talking about 2005! And they still don't work correctly in Premiere 2020! I literally did a search on "Track Mattes in Premiere Pro suck" and found this thread. You should be able to move / scale the video clip independently of the matte... Otherwise whats the point of a matte as opposed to using the cropping pen tool and creating a circle with that?
