Thanks for all the feedback. It’s pretty clear that we’ve got to look into the workflow using this format more closely, there are enough reports about gaps at this point to reopen this item. I’ll post more info about next steps shortly. In the meantime, a couple of questions are easy to answer:

    - The plugin is designed for Premiere Pro. It currently doesn’t provide support for After Effects.
    - It does work with AME, so if you want to use it for batch processing, that’s very doable
    - If you’ve started a project with Autokroma, there’s no easy way to transfer it to be running with the new plugin.

    Patrick

Yes, it’s unusable- crashed maybe 8 times in an hour for me yesterday. I’ve lost time and money dealing with this and the most frustrating part is that this community has been asking to have this properly and reliably supported for 2 YEARS! We’ve been pacified with inadequate developments that haven’t been properly thought through or executed. It’s just not good enough in my opinion.

Yes, I am having loads of crashes. Just trying to get through this current project before I return to more familiar work flow- this just isn't reliable yet.

I'm having a crash every 15 mins, running a high spec imac (2019) 64GB ram, latest updates. Can't see a pattern of cause. I'm also getting some strange behaviour like a braw clip picking up audio from a completely different file and also master files affected by colour changes according to where I position playhead. I'm fairly new to working with raw files, maybe I'm the bug!

    This is not a solution.

Good to hear from you and thanks for acknowledging the lack of communication- it’s annoying. Please be more responsive in future.

    2 questions:

    1. What are the plans for after effects? (this is a critical matter for our business).

    2. Is this a short-term fix while you develop your own, native, solution or are you satisfied that this plugin meets customer needs?

And finally just to explain why ‘native’ is important to me- I’d like adobe to take ownership of this functionality. We pay for a lot of money for the CC subscription over the years and I strongly believe that this responsibility sits with adobe- maybe you disagree. I want to know that Braw is properly tested, integrated across all of your CC apps and fully supported.

    Thanks very much. Ric

We can speculate all day long about what ‘looking into this matter’ actually means but the bottom line is your communication around this issue has been really bad. We do pay a lot of money, we’ve taken our time to contribute to this forum with a very reasonable and actionable request and you’ve provided no update since the 12th December 2018- do you think that’s acceptable?

The other thing I’d like to emphasise is that we are not asking for a very minor or cosmetic modification- this really fundamental to our workflow. It will save us a truly significant amount of time, it would improve our results- these 2 things are all we really care about this is why we are so frustrated. I just don’t understand why you can’t update us- you’ve had plenty of time to do so. It seems as though you’ll only be prompted into action through broader, negative PR??
It’s not that difficult, just PLEASE...

    Talk to your customers!!

Hi Patrick. You said this was under review 104 days ago. I appreciate that this will probably be more complex and time-consuming than people outside Adobe will understand (commercially, technically) and that your review/technical process is an internal matter. However, I think that it would be useful and reasonable at this stage for you tell us a bit more about the status of this request. This affects us on a day to day basis- equipment, production time, client expectations etc. We're paying customers and deserve a bit more transparency and respect.

So please can you give us an update on how this review is progressing. Many thanks, Ric

Some balanced and reasoned requests here. Also some very petulant threats and demands that remind me of my 3 yr old daughter when I refuse her sweets. If there is a strong business case and it’s tecnicaly possible I’m sure we will see some sweets very soon. If not, we will have to eat fruit.
