Added info: I also notice that when I add or change a color using shortcuts, the marker color appears green in the Marker window, which is a clue is the color is not properly saved when using shortcuts.

Same problem. The analysis gets lost at random after closing and reopening the same project.

Understood Kevin, I normally wouldn't post multiple times, except in this case it was the only way to upload the images to illustrate the problem.

I am noticing this problem too recently. The effect used to work properly for me, though. In the past, it was reasonably good at filtering out the foreground when stablizing shots.
Now, it's become unusable as it often locks on the subject rather than the background, introducing a lot of unwanted wobble rather than removing it. I see this with both versions of PP 2022 and 2021. However, as I said, it worked well in 2021 before.
I am writing this in Jan. of 2022. Was the effect changed by Adobe recently or could the instance on my computer that got somehow corrupted? If so, how can I fix it?
Thanks.
