One small recommendation: pls have a look at how the markers work in Avid Mc. This was developed by users. And it works, is efficient and fun to use. With the Adobe markers the fun part is left out and I hate to use them. They are simply clumsy. If you need scripts to make them work, something is wrong.

    Hi Florian,

while this is a rather critical and large change to the way the application works and will take some time to be implemented, we’ll definitely put this under consideration.

There’s more than one solution to this problem, though.

A good short term opportunity is to use the parallel install feature in the creative cloud application. It should help to at least take away some of the issues working with people on a different version of the application.

Another thing worth keeping in mind is that you can install CC on two different machines (if you’re on an individual subscription). That gives you additional opportunity to keep different versions around for compatibility reasons.

I’ll update the status of this request as we move along.

If you have further thoughts on this matter, please keep them coming.

    Thanks
    Patrick

    Ok,
So you are working on a project and the title is apocalypse now and it's 1979.
And 22 years later you want to open the project again. Because you want to make some minor changes to the story.
    This should be possible why?
Because it's a movie and it's edited in a editing machine.
The time and effort that went into the project is big.
And why is this relevant for the future?
Because the things we do today will be revisited by people in the future.
Thats why it's important that one of the main editing systems we use should be
able to open the projects and convert them (AE does it).
It's simply careless to not think about it in the first place.
    Careless and nearsighted.

This is a great request that is certainly something we want to implement. Rest assured our engineers DO understand the importance of this feature and how to get the job done. We also know that the performance and stability of the app should be our #1 priority and that is where our focus is right now.

This is not a bug, it’s as designed. We specifically limit the visibility to one track at a time to avoid accidentally burning in multiple tracks. Also, when exporting to a format that only supports one captions stream like SRT or STL, we need to know which is the active track in order to export the correct track.

But I understand why you might need two tracks visible at the same time.

    Multiple speakers:
If we could automatically identify speakers and designate a style associated with them, would that help? For example speaker 1 is blue and on the left, speaker 2 is yellow and on the right?

    Multiple languages:
Do you ever need to burn in both at the same time or is it just a matter of being able to see both to aid in translation and alignment?

Thanks for the feedback, we really are listening :)

So no one is annoyed of the behavior ?
You find it completely logical, that ich you want to change the color of something
you first need to jump to the player , then select the marker , open it and change the color ....

Instead of just selecting it in the timeline and just right mouse button and see all the colors....
