The lopping record must be able to make multiple takes on a subtrack, to keep organization, for example you have an actor doing multiple takes, the track is named with the actor's name, there must be a way to deploy the track and show the multiple takes and an easy way to mute clips in order to select best part of each take, also some sort of elastic tool to perfectly align each clip to lip sync. I wonder if the “Source Channel Routing” could be expanded to map this ‘effect’ easily. Right now, the SCRis limited to one unique channel assignment per clip channel, but it might be easy enough to modify.
Ideally, Premiere should make it simpler to convert a stereo clip to mono and toggle the source channel. “Fill x with y” seems a bit of a kludge to me as the result, a multi-mono file, has the same output results with a lot more complexity.
I’ll enter a feature request. Thanks.

I use Audition for mixing localized dubbed spanish version of feature films in 5.1 for theatrical release. I had two movies that where 7.1 and had to remix in 5.1 because I did'nt have the choice of 7.1. I think that adding the industry standards is a must.

Sometimes I need to make room and move subtitles. I think that a tool similar to "Track Select Forward Tool" to work inside the caption track will do it. Also when clicks and drag on the middle of a caption you can move that particular caption. When select various captions pressing "shift key", you can not move all of them. On the other hand on the caption panel editor, the keyboard arrow keys "up" and "down" must allow to move up and downd betwen the text lines inside the caption editor box, also Home and End keys must work just like they do on any text editor. The choice to "Kerning" and "Leading" the text is a must also, as well as "vertical-align center" for when you have single line and double line subtitles to look better. A welcome feature can be a way to import all text form a TXT file or via Clipboard and be able to select the sentence, to divide in lines, hit play in the timeline and select in/out points to insert the sentence as a new line of caption with the corresponding timecode. Then select next sentence...and repeat the process. Because right now I get all the text on Microsoft Word and have to copy and paste the line, then sync manually with the mouse and go to word again... Also the choice to time remap a subtitle. Lets supose the .srt you get is 24fps but your footage is 23.97. this can be a choice on "Interpret Footage"
Yes you are right, Its been a long time and no metadata support for several cameras formats, also the ability to apply luts by default to the footage on S-log or C-log, the way red footage works.
