Same here, using 22.1.2 and the bug still exists.

Having these issues in 22.1.2. Can't shuttle right on MC footage without loss of control and audio continues to play.

    The footage is 10bit H.264 4K Long-GOP, using Prores proxies at 1080p.

I'm going to chime in real quick as it seems a few of the users might have some misconceptions about background rendering.

Background rendering won't be able to operate while you are editing. How it works in other applications is you set a preference for how many seconds of idle time need to pass before the render begins. As soon as you make an action in the application the render pauses until the set idle time again.

While I really would like this feature across the board for importing, rendering, etc. When ever I have to operate FCPX the first thing I do is turn off background rendering. You'll still find yourself manually starting renders for certain clips as you want a preview ASAP.

I think the focus of our request is in not seeing the pop-up and locking the application whenever we render, import, autosave, save. For me, background rendering is less important as it only really helps when you walk away from your machine and forget to start the render. And with how Pr always losses render files and you constantly have to re-render, you'll find your cache jamming up right away,

Side note, I also would not be surprised if Apple has a patent on a lot of these features.

YES! I would love to see a way to customize marker colors the same way you can with label colors.

Would love to see this happen. Similar to what you all are working on now with background render and autosave.

The development team decided against this feature because a third party plugin already exists. You can see the official response in this request thread - https://adobe-video.uservoice.com/forums/911233-premiere-pro/suggestions/33846751-watch-folders

Thought I'd deliver the bad news to all us hopefuls. The devs responded to this on a lesser supported thread - https://adobe-video.uservoice.com/forums/911233-premiere-pro/suggestions/33846751-watch-folders

    They gave us a "No".

PLEASE! It could work the same way google drive sync or Dropbox sync works with a computer to cloud sync. Super helpful feature.

Hey DEVs! Would love to see this added. Just having the option of a thumbnail view like in Pr would be super handy! Thanks.

Same problem here. 4k Timeline, all media is proxied, all are Quicktime MOV files, GH5s 3840x2160, 23.976, 10 Bit LongGOP, V-Log. Proxies are ProRes 422 PROXY.

Some Mavic pro footage as well. Also proxied to PR422 Proxy.

No effects applied other than a couple audio effects applied to the track mixer.

The problem resolves itself upon restarting the application but resumes about 30 to 40 minutes of editing. Duplicating the sequence resolves the problem with the same amount of time to replicate the issue.

Current build of Pr = 13.1.3 Build 44
    Mac OS Mojave 10.14.6 (18G87)
    MacBook Pro 2017, 3.1 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3, Radeon Pro 560 4 GB
Intel HD Graphics 630 1536 MB.

PLEASE ADOBE! I'm begging you. Add an option to disable this. I'm by no means the most accurate clicker in the world but it is so frustrating to me when I go to click on a file and I get the import window instead of the source monitor. No need to remove it just an option to disable please.

OMG YES! Please people up-vote this. For me the issue is anytime I have an EQ or compressor applied directly to a clip and not on the track. Any scrubbing or cutting on the fly will cause distortion and clipping that could damage your hearing.
