BTW, this is in Win 10, Threadripper 3960X, RTX 3090, 128 GB RAM.

This is also happening when I'm rendering - the on-screen preview as it calculates frames is gllitching, but my final renders are fine (QT).

It looks like you can add a shortcut, but it's named differently for some odd reason. See the attached screenshot. It seems to be called "Show/Hide Properties with Animation" (under the Animation menu). You can add a shortcut for that. It seems to do the same thing as the command you'd mentioned.

Do you mean you want to add that, or customize it? That already exists - if you hit U, it will reveal all keyframes. If you hit UU (U twice quickly), it will reveal all properties that have been modified. Not sure if you can change it to a different key.

Thanks for the quick reply, Christine. I had R23 and R25 installed. I've installed R24 now (it didn't install with AE for some reason), and it works now! Thanks very much. Any ETA on R25 working with v22?

Quick update: I tried that fix - toggling my Audio Output, and that actually does seem to work. But the issue does seem to happen even when I don't unplug any audio devices. Good to know there is a workaround. Thanks.

Thanks John. Sorry, I just saw this reply now. I'm running Win10 (v10.0.19041 Build 19041). GTX 1070 graphics card, 64 GB RAM. Full specs attached.

While I do sometimes change my audio device (unplug my mic which has a headphone jack), this issue happens all the time - when I haven't unplugged it. It will be working fine, then stop working, forcing me to quit and re-launch AE.

    Thanks for your time.

I fully agree - we need this feature! AEscripts has the Good Parents script, which I guess I now need to buy, but this should ideally be native instead.

Have you tried using Set Matte? You can then use a single layer as a track matte instead of having multiple copies of your track matte mask layer. It can use the alpha or luminance info of the layer you select. That won't help you for adjustment layers, though.
