    Yes yes yes. Should not have to export a final cut pro XML and re-import it to get the original audio back!

    Yes it needs to have a batch merge clips, but merge clips also need to fix audio as it changes the audio clip name and screws up metadata so AAF's don't work, and Merge clips also break Project Manger.

    Yea this is a huge huge issue. Right now the only fix is to export a Final Cut Pro XML and re-import it, and that brings back the audio with all your metadata, but this should not be necessary.

    While you can batch sync clips using multicamera, it makes multicam sequences instead of merge clips, so I totally agree, there needs to be a merge clip version, but it the merge clips also need some fixes, like how they don't work with AAF exports or how if you have them in a project it breaks Project Manger.
