Thanks for all the feedback. It’s pretty clear that we’ve got to look into the workflow using this format more closely, there are enough reports about gaps at this point to reopen this item. I’ll post more info about next steps shortly. In the meantime, a couple of questions are easy to answer:

    - The plugin is designed for Premiere Pro. It currently doesn’t provide support for After Effects.
    - It does work with AME, so if you want to use it for batch processing, that’s very doable
    - If you’ve started a project with Autokroma, there’s no easy way to transfer it to be running with the new plugin.

    Patrick

Hey I second what "Influenced" said on the resolve training. That filmsimplified guy is pretty good and pretty cheap. I also second the Meisner guy on youtube and I have looked at Casey Faris's videos a lot as well https://www.youtube.com/user/CaseyFaris777 and LiquidBlue that is super right about the camera metadata stuff we stopped entering it as it was time on the day that if it wasn't in premiere it wouldn't help us but I know that there was many a forum in the past lamenting about the lack of support for that meta data. Our on the day work around was to enter it in the sound recorder as that would show up in Premiere and then after we sync sound based on Time Code we would have that info available to help us rename clips. But that still is a work around! I am loving the Aescripts guys braw plugin but I will give resolve another go as well as this is all seeming like 'work arounds' and not like this was thought though and just works sorta thing.

Hey guys I totally got sick of waiting and grabbed the plug in from the guys below! https://aescripts.com/braw-studio/ Seriously I helped beta test this and while it has some things they could (and based on the feedback from them they will) add like Media Encoder support ETC it is pretty much the dream that we have been waiting for from Adobe for months! I highly recommend checking them out.

Yeah I am seeing the possibilities of removing the round trip from Resolve to Premiere!! and Being able to shoot in a Raw format that is GPU accelerated and setting can be held in a Sidecar file. This could be a big as Lightroom was for the nondestructive workflow in the photography world but for VIDEO! PLease Please Please!

This is a great request that is certainly something we want to implement. Rest assured our engineers DO understand the importance of this feature and how to get the job done. We also know that the performance and stability of the app should be our #1 priority and that is where our focus is right now.

Ok Spent an hour with support and they are filing a bug report (again?) and they will let us know what they find. :( Seems like a blow off to me because there is this bug report already as well as a number of other ones to go with the forum posts and the like but hopefully we will see some joy on this. Let's keep on bugging them with the details. :)
