Thanks for all the feedback. It’s pretty clear that we’ve got to look into the workflow using this format more closely, there are enough reports about gaps at this point to reopen this item. I’ll post more info about next steps shortly. In the meantime, a couple of questions are easy to answer:
- The plugin is designed for Premiere Pro. It currently doesn’t provide support for After Effects.
- It does work with AME, so if you want to use it for batch processing, that’s very doable
- If you’ve started a project with Autokroma, there’s no easy way to transfer it to be running with the new plugin.
Get rid of a lot of headaches and go with Autokroma for now,
I have not had a crash since I switched.
Is it worth it holding our breath until IBC 2019?
There is obviously politics at work here, BM needs to be taught a lesson for ditching cDNG, and we as consumers are stuck in the middle. However learning from history, if you don't listen to your customers you will eventually go out of business.
I like and use the CC lineup, but patience is running out even for me.
It works as it should now! Thanks!
I authored it as open captions in Premiere. It is very frustrating having to re-align almost every subtitle every time I load the project. I re-align in by adjusting the individual handles in the subtitle track.
I'm on 25 frames, 3840x2160 and I use Open Captions. Unfortunately I cannot send you the project file since it's classified.
