    Great - a project that was working fine three weeks ago now has this error on one of its timelines. Every clip on it causes the error, and the media won't display as a result.
    So ready to say good bye to Premiere.

    I'm really surprised to find this problem in such a mature editing package. This is the kind of embarrassing design flaw that I would feel the the need to correct IMMEDIATELY if it was discovered in my product. Lets see how long it takes Adobe...

    That's terrifying James. I just did the replacements like you did, gritting my teeth through it, but it is so scary to know that at any moment, firing up a project might reveal a much larger loss of clips. One that would make it impossible to meet a high stakes deadline for a feature film. It would be irresponsible of me to continue using Premiere under the circumstances.
    Though I'm in my mid 40's and the last thing I want to do is learn another editing package, I'm moving to Resolve.
