As Wes noted, we are looking at many areas for optimization and have made strides in the last few releases already.

We recognize there are still many areas to improve performance and we are investing in appropriate areas.

Threads that are catch-alls are often non-actionable. Please keep giving us specific feedback on what workflows are slow for you.

Technical solutions may not always be as obvious as some people may be suggesting as the application architecture is often very different than people’s conception.

Short answer. Yes, we want to and will make it faster.

I've been running into this as well. It pretty much renders Transform useless, and I'm back to round-tripping the clip through AE for motion blur.

It was so nice before 12.1/12.1.1/12.1.2 came into the world.

Pretty much this. The number of times my projects will just stop saving to Creative Cloud is insane.

The cloud save concept is brilliant, but it just seems to get bogged down with issues way too often, and is essentially highly unreliable.

For me, I've noticed that it only seems to wreck the compressors (if there are other effects impacted, I've missed them), so when I duplicate a track (and have my compressor reset), I simply check the previous sequence and manually re-input the settings to the new sequence.

It's a thousand miles from ideal, but it's the fastest solution that I have found so far.

I just posted a comment about this exact same issue. It only started for me in 12.1, and continues in 12.1.1.

Incredibly frustrating bug. I'm genuinely hating 12.1/12.1.1

    Hi Florian,

while this is a rather critical and large change to the way the application works and will take some time to be implemented, we’ll definitely put this under consideration.

There’s more than one solution to this problem, though.

A good short term opportunity is to use the parallel install feature in the creative cloud application. It should help to at least take away some of the issues working with people on a different version of the application.

Another thing worth keeping in mind is that you can install CC on two different machines (if you’re on an individual subscription). That gives you additional opportunity to keep different versions around for compatibility reasons.

I’ll update the status of this request as we move along.

If you have further thoughts on this matter, please keep them coming.

    Thanks
    Patrick

It's especially frustrating when you get pulled up into a new version for whatever reason (external projects started in the new version, etc), and it happens to be a version you have been trying to avoid.

We had to move up to 12.1, despite the myriad issues that it has because we kept getting projects in that were started in it. Now, we're all struggling with the 12.1 (and 12.1.1) problems, and there was pretty much no way of avoiding it.

    Just had this happen again.

Switched over to my custom colour workspace, and insta-crash. I'd be happy to supply the crash log as a file if someone could point me in the direction of where I can upload.
