    All,

first of all I wanted to thank everyone for making this a productive conversation over the last couple of days.

As several people responded to my comment about keeping the tone civilised, I need to dwell on that for a minute. Please hear me out, this is important to everyone on my crew and I hope it will be to you.

Saying that we shouldn't be surprised when things get heated is very problematic in my opinion. How do you expect a junior person on my team to respond to a technical question when it is combined with something that can easily be described as hate speech? How do you think we can actually come together on actual issues when there's already the assumption that we're a big faceless corporation, not even listening to our customers?

People on my team have received threats. I've been there over the years,…

Completely agree James. There are so many power features that have been under review for years. Personal annoyance, improving the project manager has been under review since 2018.

The colour correcting workflow should be greatly improved by now. It’s cumbersome on long edits.

Small things like batch change sequences, viewing the audio waveform under video in the source monitor.

There always stability issues with dynamic links, exporting to media encoder, plug in integration, encoding etc

I haven’t spent ten years learning about editing and visual effects to have a programme hiding critical settings and trying to take away my skills in video.

    Im just so disappointed.

I agree - really odd! If I have changed the anchor point that is where the modifications should stem from!

I consolidated my project with the Rosetta version of Premiere and now thought things might be better. So I trying to open this project in Premiere 22.2 and now ALL my consolidated footage (using Cineform CODEC) do not import. It says CFHD is unsupported compression type?! How can this be?

Thanks for all the feedback. It’s pretty clear that we’ve got to look into the workflow using this format more closely, there are enough reports about gaps at this point to reopen this item. I’ll post more info about next steps shortly. In the meantime, a couple of questions are easy to answer:

    - The plugin is designed for Premiere Pro. It currently doesn’t provide support for After Effects.
    - It does work with AME, so if you want to use it for batch processing, that’s very doable
    - If you’ve started a project with Autokroma, there’s no easy way to transfer it to be running with the new plugin.

Unbelievable Adobe replied to this thread in 2018 and NOTHING has changed!

I totally agree with Mary. It’s not about just using third party plug ins which always have bugs and don’t work seamlessly with the software.

This needs to be fixed in Premiere. This includes consolidating after effect sequences, nested sequences and effects used. Which is compatible with different versions of both Premiere and After Effects.

I want to be able to finish a job, put in a library and come back to it years after with minimal of issues.

Onto release 22 and still nothing has change on this useless project management. Any chance of an update? Might have to move to FCP. The only thing keeping me with Premiere is After Effects!

Thank you Igor! Premiere's most ignored feature. In 2020 I renamed it the 'no project management' feature.

So Adobe replied over a year ago and nothing has changed!

The Project Manager needs a complete overhaul.

The navigation is awful, slow and confusing for large scale projects.

You cannot include nested sequences when selecting one timeline.

You cannot choose to render nested sequences like you can with After Effects.

The ability to render all effects (audio and video) before consolidating.

Hope we can see major improvements in the future.

The worst! I can get 200 trailers at once and I have to change each sequence to match the FPS. I can't just create sequences as a batch either.

Management of projects and user experience is the weakest part of Premiere IMO - using bins, sequence settings, nested sequences (Render replace etc), effects (rendering them while still editing) and most of all the consolidate project feature - which hasn't been improved for decades.

This is the whole reason Apple just binned FCP and re-wrote it from scratch to FCP X. Just start again because there are much better methods of coding to create a more efficient piece of software than re-hashing versions.
