Not having this feature is a nightmare.

I wish people would stop saying "all NLEs behave this way"
that doesn't make it a good feature, or a reason not to offer a way to mark out points more logically / intuitively. That's why it's a feature request. I'm one of the many people who wants this feature because it makes no sense to me that I jump to end of clip or sequence, mark out and export with an annoying extra frame of the beginning of the next clip (or 1 frame of nothingness at the end of my sequence) where is that useful? Not interested how common it is amongst NLEs. I also hear most or many of them offer 'inclusive' or 'exclusive' modifier keys for marking out points.

    Just my 2c

I agree. I think this is a bad design and not intuitive. I press down to jump to the end of a clip so I can hit O to mark out, and it includes the first frame of the next clip.
I don't get how that's useful, however common it may be.

How many people are having to go back 1 frame because of this?

I want to export a video ending on fade to white. I go to end of sequence and hit out, but now there's 1 frame of black (nothingness) after my last frame of white. I just don't get where that's useful.

April 2019 - this error has been plaguing me and several Adobe technicians on my 32gb MSI laptop gtx 980m, trying (and failing) to render the last bit of a motion graphics template from Envato

This feels like an obvious feature to me. And surely not too complex to implement??

Thanks Kevin, but I'd rather the feature worked (was viable - currently it's not a viable feature, performance wise) or it be removed.

AE shares hundreds of features with Prem, but I don't consider drawing a line onto my picture very advanced motion graphics, so suspect the software is written badly if that's destroying my edit suite, when having multiple streams of concurrent graded HD video with animated titles etc plays perfectly
