    Thanks for the report Jimmi. This appears to be a bug and the current workaround is to quit Character Animator and then relaunch.

    Can you give some extra detail on what you're trying to accomplish?

    That error dialog is basically telling you that you need to click the red button next to Face, Eye Gaze, Head Turner, and the Camera Input for all of those behaviors.

    Sounds like the takes you copied, need those armed in order to "take" the paste.

    I would like this. I would also expect this to work with any user created mouth shapes like frown or if a user wants to add their own custom visemes like Th.

    Thanks for the feedback. I'm not seeing exactly that behavior, but there is one case where an open folder with something dragged out of it(so it is now empty) will remember that it's opened, even if nothing is in it. That means it shows opened when something gets added to it.

    So, if you close the folder ever, it should stay closed permanently. Let me know if that's not the behavior you're seeing.

    I do see that pressing and holding spacebar in AE doesn't start playback. I'll see if we can match that behavior.

    BTW, Page Up and Page Down also work to page the timeline.

    Because we use spacebar to start playback, we can't use it to pan the timeline. We do have timeline panning though.

    On a trackpad, you can use the two finger gesture for horizontal scrolling/panning. Shift + mousewheel will also pan the timeline.

    We use opt/alt to pan the scene panel, we could look into doing that for more fine control.

    Can you explain a little bit what you use nested scenes for? We haven't made any additions to that capability in a while because we weren't seeing much use, but it's possible we could add some refinements to address particular workflows.

    This would be great. There are some ways to do this right now.

    e.g., put a jaw handle on the jaw, then restrict the area above the jaw with fixed handles, but I'd love a much more straightforward way to do it.

    Can you explain the types of things you'd like smooth control over?

    I've actually experimented a bit with this.

    I've used Lemur, TouchOSC, and Metagrid on the iPad to send MIDI notes and CC values to CH from the iPad. It works wireless or wired. These applications are very fully featured so you can set up different templates that are easily switchable. It's quite slick.

    None of the above apps let you make custom pictures for your buttons, but Metagrid said it would be in the 2.0 update. I was waiting for that update before making a tutorial video on how to do it, but could probably find time to make one before then.

    Which version of Character Animator are you using?

    Would you mind telling me exactly what you're doing to get that dialog? Are you using Dynamic Link when you're seeing this issue?

    I'm using a KVM and multiple audio devices(both input and output) and am not seeing these repeated dialogs.

    Are you getting the correct number of pop up boxes(one per device switch), but your workflow(regular switching) means you encounter them a lot and the option to not show again doesn't work?

    And to clarify, are you wanting this predefined range to work more like keyframing(drag hand from here to here over this time range), or more like a music application's punch in/out(start playback and only record during the predefined range selection)?

    How would you feel if we addressed this a different way? i.e.,

    If we implemented search filtering within the Puppet panel, you could search for the word "Cycle", every layer with the word cycle in it would show up>select all layers?apply cycle layers behavior.
