I'm having the same issues but i suspect it is something to do with the Canon implementation of the HEVC codec.
HEVC files from the Panasonic GH5 and the DJI MAVIC Pro2 both play fine even at 4K full quality.
I can't get any usable playback with the XF-705 files... hopefully Adobe can make this better?

Premiere also won't let you create Proxies with the Canon HEVC-MXF files (something about the audio channels/format) but if you change the file extension to .MPG it does.
So seems to be a limitation with Adobes implementation with the HEVC-MXF format.

    Please fix!

Having them actually complete a proper 0-100% transition would be nice too.
I find too often they are actually 10-90% or worse so there is a jump rather than a smooth transition

I've got missing fonts, some basic system fonts in Ae v17.1.1 & 2

Please fix Adobe and stop breaking the fonts!

Latest updates seem to have bought this font problem back.

    Ae v16.1.2
    Pr v13.1.2

Fonts that are missing so far for me are, Helvetica & Eurostile. Both font's are installed (via 2 font managers) and available in Photoshop and Illustrator but not in Aftereffects!

The fonts are ttf, ttc and font suitcase formats

Or at least limit it to the proxies that are required for the project, rather than copying all of the proxy media even though only 5 out of the 75 clips were used!!!

Yes please, this drives me crazy on a daily basis. The file naming in Ae works perfectly, just copy that over to PPro!!!
