This is by design. We always keep captions within safe margins (10%). Would an option to defeat this restriction be useful or is it better to remove this safeguard all together. Opinions welcome.

It would be very useful for those of us not working in broadcast. If you are delivering to screens in a public facing environment, like a museum, then we know where the 'bottom' of the screen is. It would be extremely useful to be able to move the captions right to the bottom. Many thanks.

Such a simple idea but I am totally with you on this one. Especially as some parts of the music can be less obvious as to where the beat is. A visual indicator of the beat (if switched on, not always present) would be useful but still allowing you to cut to different passages in the music.

I'm guessing the OP is referring to content on the timeline but not currently within the view of the current timeline on screen, ie before or after the section present on screen. Not content in the source bins.
This would be a useful warning, along with a similar warning if you are altering an effects parameters but the CTI is over a different clip. Been there, done that.Peter C supported this idea ·

I have the same issue as we work under brand guidelines which specify our font. I expect a lot of pro editors are in the same boat. An option for default font in preferences would work for me. Hope this helps.
