Hi Rob! Any chance you have a carriage return in your text layer? This can easily happen when you copy/paste from another source.

Thanks, Mark! Yes, we could improve some things there, I agree. In the meantime you can use the keyword "rush" in your searches for Adobe Stock Mogrts.

Hi! Not sure if you are seeing a bug or are having difficulty using rolls now that you are moving from a Legacy Title workflow to an Essential Graphics workflow. If you just need help getting started with rolls in Essential Graphics then these resources might help:

Thank you _otoriba! I have now reproduced the issue on my end with a couple of fonts. I have filed a bug report. Thank you for bringing this to our attention!

An error occurred while saving the comment

Hi _otoriba! Maybe you can attach a screen recording showing the issue you are having with tab width? Did you try the following? 1. Add your text, 2. change the tab width in the Essential Graphic Panel, 3. Place your caret in the text and hit the tab key on your keyboard.

An error occurred while saving the comment

Google Translate: "Tab Width" does not work in essential graphics
There is a problem that it does not work even if the number of "tab width" is changed depending on the font in v22.3.
    Please improve.

Jonas Almeida, I will send you an email and I'll take a look at the mogrt with which you are seeing the issue. This should not happen.

An error occurred while saving the comment

For anyone else who is hitting this: there is a known issue in Ae 17.0.6 where certain effects (lots of third parties, some Ae effects) are resulting Adobe Media Encoder not to queue the desired composition from Ae. This also affects Mogrts to fail when applying them in Premiere Pro 14.1. In this case, reported by Cedric, it hit the Linear Color Key. We are working on a fix! Current suggested workaround for users that rely on affected effects is to roll back to Ae 17.0.5, Pr 14.0.4, AME 14.0.4

An error occurred while saving the comment

Hi Cedric! Thanks for filing this. I will reach out so I can hopefully look at that mogrt and see what is going on.

We understand that retiring a part of the software can create issues for some users. We are doing our best to make this a slow and steady process and are adding needed features along the way. Most importantly, we have added the ability to convert Legacy Titles into Source Graphics. While not all characteristics will translate perfectly, this should give you really good results in most cases.
We’re not just taking something away, we’re adding functionality to Essential Graphics constantly. Our team is working hard to make sure it meets your workflow needs. And if it doesn’t – we want to know about it.
If you feel that there is a specific feature missing in Essential Graphics please create a single UserVoice post for it, e.g. for Inner and Outer Strokes. This way it is much easier for others to vote on something actionable.
Please take a look at our …

Hi everyone. I am a Quality Engineer on the Motion Graphics Team. In the spirit of being transparent and engaging with the user community I want to add something, especially to the last couple of comments. This thread has in fact been under review of the team since the beginning. There has been engagement by multiple team members since the beginning. One of the reasons we had not moved forward with retiring the Legacy Titler are threads such as these. We are actively watching them and working on solutions. We appreciate every one who takes the time to give feedback and we are very much discussing and analyzing it internally. UserVoice is not replacing customer support. If you need customer support please go to https://helpx.adobe.com/de/contact.html. What you are getting here is attention from the Product Team, the engineers, the designers, the Product Managers and we are interested in reading from your experiences. We are in fact planning on releasing more features to close the gaps of Legacy Title users before retiring it. And even after that, we will continue to enhance Essential Graphics.

Lots of users have given valuable feedback here and described their workflow issues. That's exactly what we are looking for. So thank you to everyone who has invested the time. The team sees it. I also want to ask to keep the tone respectful. No harm in being critical, but we are all humans here.

    Google Translation:

Set default label color for motion graphics template
Currently, if you add a motion graphics template (MGT) from Essential Graphics to the timeline, it will be loaded on the timeline with the same label color regardless of which MGT you use.

However, with this, it is not possible to visually confirm which MGT is being used, such as when the timeline is displayed in a reduced size.
If you set the default label color for any MGT and make it color-coded when it is added to the timeline, the timeline will be easier to see and it will be convenient when applying effects collectively.

We would appreciate it if you could support us. Thank you.

Thank you for expanding on your request. I filed an internal feature request and linked it to this post. It is not on the team's current list of priorities, but that can always change! :)

Thank you 騎 野本 for your request! I am curious: How and where would you like to set the label color of your mogrts?

If you want to continue to use Essential Graphics like the Legacy Titler, you need to upgrade the Essential Graphic to become a Source Graphic.

    Create Source Graphics (from https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/essential-graphics-panel.html)
You can use the Upgrade to Source Graphic (previously known as Upgrade to Master Graphic) option to create a Source Clip (previously known as Master Clip) item in your Project Panel from a graphic clip in your sequence.

Any new graphics made from a Source Graphic, including the one you upgraded from, are always exact duplicates of each other. This include the source text string. Any changes made to the text, style, or contents in an instance of a Source Graphic get reflected in all other instances of the Source Graphic.
To create a Source Graphic, select Graphics > Upgrade to Source Graphic.

More info how to upgrade Legacy Titles into Source Graphics:

Ok, I have a few more questions.
    1. Where have set your Motion Graphics Template folder to (you can find this location in the Project Settings/Scratch Disks), local or to a server? Does that path get moved during the workflow, e.g. by consolidating the project.
    2. Is there only a problem when dragging Mogrts freshly from the Essential Graphics panel or is there a relinking issue with aegraphics that are already in the project? If in fact aegraphics that are already in the project have relinking issues (offline or media pending): For these Mogrts, have you ever created a new version of that Mogrts with the same file name?
    3. How do you bring your graphics into the timeline - from the Essential Graphics browser or from the project panel?
    4. Is anything special about your Mogrts, e.g. are these Dynamic Link Mogrts? (Dynamic Link Mogrts are ones that use third party effects, use the Cinema 4D renderer or are plain very, very old and they require an install of After Effects). Or can you also repro with Mogrts that ship with the project? (you already told me every mogrt can show this issue, but I want to make sure you mean also the factory mogrts)

Hi suggest you create this with After Effects. For more info see the section where it says "Creating and animating text on a path": https://helpx.adobe.com/after-effects/using/animating-text.html. Then you can export this text as a Motion Graphics template to use it in Premiere Pro. See how that works here: https://helpx.adobe.com/after-effects/using/creating-motion-graphics-templates.html

    Hi Matthew,
one of two things might have happened.
    a) After the conversion from Legacy Titles to Source Graphics you saw differences simply due to the fact that this is not lossless. Not every parameter translates as well as another. Some parameters do not exist for Essential Graphics. For these, no conversion can happen. Examples are crawls, slant or depth strokes to name a few.
You can read more about this here: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/upgrade-legacy-titles.html
and there is also a FAQ: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/legacy-titler-retirement-faq.html
    b) If the video frame of a Legacy Title is different than the default sequence, then the upgrade title is moved out of position and likely out of view. This is a known bug and is already fixed in beta (which you can download through your Creative Cloud Desktop application). With the fix we will add one upgraded graphic for each sequence size the title was used in. So you might end up with 2 upgraded source graphics for one Legacy Title if the Legacy title was used in two different sequence sizes.
While we replace the Legacy Titles in sequences, we do not delete them in the project. So you can still pull in the Legacy Title and compare to the upgraded source graphic.
At this point you can also decide to not do the automatic upgrade when you open a project but upgrade the graphics one by one with the menu command "Upgrade Legacy Title" in the Graphics menu at the top. This way you could first create a duplicate and the only upgrade one to compare the results and see where you need to make edit after the conversion.
We know that this is a big change and this does affect existing projects of users and this might cost them valueable time. That is why we are retiring the Legacy Titler so slow (it has been called Legacy for years). Now is the time to start bringing projects over one by one.
If you run into specific issues that you believe the Motion Graphics team should be looking at or have more question, please continue reaching out like you did with this post.
    Annika

    Hi Emile,
Thanks for your feature request! I renamed the post to "Strokes for Essential Graphics Clip Layers" so other users know right away what this is about when browsing through UserVoice. I hope this is ok with you.
The Motion Graphics team has see your request. Strokes for clip layers have not risen to the top of our priorities, but it is still a valid request! So let's see if this gets some more attention through your post.

There is a way to convert Legacy Titles to Essential Graphics. In 22.0 you can select one or multiple Legacy Titles in the Project Panel and then use the commands "Upgrade Legacy Title" or "Upgrade All Legacy Titles" from the top Graphics menu. This will replace the used Legacy Titles in sequences with Source Graphics but keeps the Legacy Titles as a copies in the project panel in case you need to compare the upgrade. In a future version of Premiere Pro you will be able to upgrade all Legacy Titles on project opening.

Please also take a look at our documentation on this:

    https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/upgrade-legacy-titles.html

@Katchouscia, do you know about Motion Graphics Templates created in After Effects? If you use these instead of Dynamic Link comps, you will have so many benefits, one being that you can edit the text in the Text panel (currently in beta)

I have created a subtitle with the caption of the automatic telop, but there is a limit to the range in which the telop is displayed although the frame is displayed.
When you want to enlarge the characters and display them as large as possible on the screen, line breaks occur at the specified positions, limiting the degree of freedom in the display position and range.

In addition, there is a frame such as a telop input range, but when the frame is selected and moved in the horizontal direction, it cannot be moved to the limit in the horizontal direction, and the range in which it can be moved is limited.

I want to make the telop larger and widen the width where the telop is displayed, but I want it to be able to be displayed at the intended position.

・ I would like you to expand the range in which telops can be displayed.
・ Please do not limit the movable range of the telop input frame.
└ If there is no limit on the range of movement, the range of animation with telop will expand.

Translation: I want you to be able to partially change the color of the character string in the master style of essential graphics.
When applying the color registered in the master style in advance to the character string of the essential graphics, for example, if there is a character string "Happy New Year", the color part is blue for "Happy New Year" and red for "Congratulations". I want to change it. Currently, if you apply blue to "Happy New Year", "Congratulations" will also turn blue.

Excuse me, but it's no wonder that such a simple specification hasn't been made until now.
