    Hi Julian,
I am a Quality Engineer on the Motion Graphics Team, which has been working on the conversion of Legacy titles to Essential graphics. If you are interested, I would like to take a look at your graphics and see if there is anything we can do. Annika

Hi Justin! I'm a Quality Engineer on the Motion Graphics Team. Thanks for reporting this! I did a quick test and was not able to reproduce this in current builds of Premiere Pro and Adobe Media Encoder. Could you tell me your exact version and build numbers (check the About menu item in each app) and also tell me which OS you are working on? Lastly, please share what your setting is in Adobe Media Encoder General Preferences for Premiere Pro "Import Sequences natively". Thanks!

Hi! I am a Quality Engineer on the Motion Graphics Team. Thanks for your requests! Great to get feedback from users.

    - Mike (my boss btw :)) already clarified that you do indeed have the pen tool to use for Essential Graphics, it's right were you find the rectangle and the ellipse in the tools panel.
    - while there is no line tool with Essential Graphics you can create paths with the pen tool
    - you can create a perfect circle and a square. The trick is to first drag the mouse to draw the shape, then hold down shift.
    - alt-drag to duplicate: that's a good request. Thanks!
    - while we don't have inner strokes with Essential Graphics you do have a way to have a rounded stroke. If you want to set this globally, go through the panel menu at the top of the Essential Graphics panel (menu looks like three dashes), Text Layer Preferences, and there under Stroke Styles change the Line Join to Round Join. If you only want this for a specific layer but not globally, you can find the same dialog when selecting the layer in the Essential Graphics panel, click on the wrench menu of the Appearance section and change the setting there.
-Fill Options: With Essential Graphics you can add linear and radial gradients to shapes and since the latest version of Premiere Pro also to text. Click on the color swatch for Fill and find a gradient dropdown in the Color Picker dialog on the top left.

You can find more info in our user guide: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/user-guide.html/premiere-pro/using/essential-graphics-panel.ug.html

Hi Channi! Thanks for your post. While, yes, there is no texture property in the Essential Graphics panel, you can use the mask checkbox, so a clip placed underneath the text shows on the text only. Drag in your clip that is the texture to the Essential Graphics panel from the Project Panel. Make sure the text layer is above the clip layer. Select the text layer in the Essential Graphics Panel, go down to the Appearance section and select "Mask with Text". Btw: for more control you can also add effects to the Essential Graphics panel.

    Google Translation:
I want you to reflect the good points of the legacy title.
The accuracy of the automatic transcription function is wonderful.
Hopes for improvement are as follows:

-I set TC in detail in the script, but it is not reflected when I create a caption. (Short telops are integrated with the front and back without permission)

-When changing the color and font size depending on the characters in one telop, if you try to reflect the contents saved in the track style, all the characters will be applied.
I want only the selected characters to be applied. (Easy to use like legacy title style)

-The position of the "alignment and deformation" zone is quite inside. When I try to set it outside manually, an invisible wall comes out and I can't

    Please.

Hi everyone. I am a Quality Engineer on the Motion Graphics Team. In the spirit of being transparent and engaging with the user community I want to add something, especially to the last couple of comments. This thread has in fact been under review of the team since the beginning. There has been engagement by multiple team members since the beginning. One of the reasons we had not moved forward with retiring the Legacy Titler are threads such as these. We are actively watching them and working on solutions. We appreciate every one who takes the time to give feedback and we are very much discussing and analyzing it internally. UserVoice is not replacing customer support. If you need customer support please go to https://helpx.adobe.com/de/contact.html. What you are getting here is attention from the Product Team, the engineers, the designers, the Product Managers and we are interested in reading from your experiences. We are in fact planning on releasing more features to close the gaps of Legacy Title users before retiring it. And even after that, we will continue to enhance Essential Graphics.

Lots of users have given valuable feedback here and described their workflow issues. That's exactly what we are looking for. So thank you to everyone who has invested the time. The team sees it. I also want to ask to keep the tone respectful. No harm in being critical, but we are all humans here.

Hi Aryan! Did you switch the Text Engine in the Preferences/Graphics to South Asian and Middle Eastern before creating the text layer? In the newest version of Premiere you can also retroactively change the Text Engine of a layer through the wrench menu in the Text section of the Essential Graphics panel (screenshots attached)

hi Jonathan, that does sound annoying. Internally, we have not been able to reproduce this problem. Does this also reproduce with the default Premiere Pro keyboard shortcuts? And if yes, could you attach a small screen recording of the issue? Annika

Hi everyone! The Motion Graphics Team just added the ability to have titles and captions to have per line backgrounds as opposed to having one box for all lines. This is now in Beta Prime builds of Premiere Pro. Anyone with a subscription can download Premiere Pro Beta Prime builds from the Creative Cloud desktop app (check the left column for "Beta Apps". A beta build will install separately to your regular Premiere Pro build so you can just test out the new feature in beta and continue your regular edits in your normal build as usual.
For details on the feature check out the post in the community forum: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-beta/discuss-background-improvements-for-captions-and-essential-graphics/td-p/12014927.

Hi Hannah! The merge and split commands are operations for making changes to the caption track items. You can split one caption into two on the track. This will create duplicates that you then can edit. Or you can merge two caption track items into one, which will add the text of the second caption into the first one.

In order to understand the issue with the lines and the paragraph please attach a screen recording or screen shots illustrating the issue a bit more. Is the font size maybe so large that you are seeing two lines instead of one? If you click on the caption text in the Program Monitor with the selection (arrow) tool and expand the width of the text box, does that solve the problem?

Gus, thanks for your comment. I think I need a little more info to understand what happened. When you say both users installed a mogrt, do you mean both users added a mogrt from the Essential Graphics panel to the timeline and then both shared their changes? How did you replace the wrong aegraphic with the correct one?

Heiko, thanks for posting your request on uservoice. I’m a Quality Engineer on the Motion Graphics Team :).
I’d be interested in learning why you need to install mogrts as opposed to just exporting them from Ae to a library or the Local Templates folder so you can use them right away in Premiere Pro?

Did you know this? If you need to update an aegraphic in your timeline with a new version of your mogrt you can replace all instances by dragging the new mogrt onto one of the aegraphics while holding down opt/alt.

To your alternative request: There are no plans to add properties for Premiere editors to After Effects Dynamic Link comps.

Thanks 岳央 大橋 , for posting this here. I just want to verify that this is what you are doing:

There are 2 places to change Graphics Properties and they behave differently:
    1. Globally: The panel menu at the top with the three dashes sets a global preferences. After setting this preference all graphics will behave that way from that point on.
    2. Per Layer: You can find this under the the wrench menu under "Appearance". Changing the preference here will only affect the selected layer and no layers created afterwards.

Let me know if that helped.
    Annika

Google Translation: The graphic properties of the essential graphic do not work properly. I want to change the line join from a miter join to a round join, but the change is not reflected and I get back to the miter join.

Hi Chris! Thanks for getting in touch here.
Let's look at the options you have with organizing your Motion Graphics templates:
    1. Organize through libraries (or use local additional folders if you are using a shared storage)
    2. Organize through keywords
    3. Sort by "Recent"

Are these things you have been aware of? If these options do not solve your workflow annoyances I'd love to hear more.
