There's even already a bit of space among the 'faux bold', 'all caps' etc. options in the character palette for a 'monospaced' option.

    Just adding the words:
    monospaced font
    fixed-pitch
    fixed-width
    non-proportional font
...in case anyone else is looking to vote for this great potential feature, and the search doesn't find "monopaced"!

As @Peter C pointed out, I believe this is referring to the unfortunate practice of Premier deleting some part of a clip that is off the end of the visible timeline, eg. I've zoomed in to the timeline, then selected a clip of rogue audio, hit delete to get rid of it, without knowing that it's linked to some crucial video clip somewhere further down the timeline that I can't currently see. A warning pop-up saying something along the lines of "do you realise you're deleting a clip that's not currently visible on the timeline?".

The same should apply to altering in/out points - in fact if anything that's off the end of the currently visible timeline is changing, a warning should appear.

I know it's possible to show the audio waveforms of nested clips if you do a Sequence > Render Audio, but why can't Premiere auto-render the audio in the background when it's idle?

I was surprised that this is not a thing.

Is there really no way of doing this? (I find it completely ridiculous that it's possible to rename the files within Premiere anyway. I've only ever done it once - by accident!).

You wouldn't have thought it'd be that hard for Adobe to copy the code from AE to PPro for the 'reload footage' feature.
