    That data should be available in a bin column too, I can only see it in 'Metadata' and it is hidden in the ixml section in folders per track.

    Read up about audio compression / brick wall limiting - the tools are in there. Maybe set a 4:1 @ -9dB to compress peaks, then a hard limit at -6dB. Although that’s a strange number, Broadcast is usually Loudness (-23 LU in Europe) now with -1db true peak.

    Then start voting for all the problems Adobe has in this regard (no user presets, settings reset, only A1 used in multi channel sequences, glitches when used in multichannel sequences )

    Despite much effort, I can find no combination of
    source track - mono/stereo/adaptive ;

    sequence mono/stereo/multichannel ;

    sequence track mixer panning & routing;

    sequence modify audio channel assignment

    where I can put a 3 channel audio recording (boom,lav1,lav2) into a multicam sequence and have it then pass through as 3 tracks in my edited sequence.

    Maybe there is a way - please do let me know if there is - in the mean time I have to edit flattened audio with multicam pictures.

    Editing in the source sequence is cumbersome & cannot be predictably flattened for handover.

    NB https://www.videotoolshed.com/handcrafted-timecode-tools/autosequence-/ does it - it gives us [MC3] Source Clip Name in the timeline clip

    @Anonymous 'I have a shortcut to toggle off target tracks and then all i do is select the one target track. Stops a lot of individual toggling of tracks.'

    It's two keypresses - 'toggle all target video' and 'toggle all target audio' - that REQUIRE the source or timeline pane be active - I know because I use them all day.

    Also requires looking at the screen to see which mode they were in, so cannot be used in a macro.

    https://adobe-video.uservoice.com/forums/911233-premiere-pro/suggestions/35351707-deselect-all-tracks-shortcut

    OPs request to 'paste to original tracks' as an option or seperate keystroke is a good one. I'd also like a 'deselect all' for tracks and have it respect the last selected relevant window (e.g. source or program/timeline panes) - rather than require the timeline to be selected.

    If you deselect all timeline tracks (which should really have it's own dedicated keyboard shortcut) by toggling all video and all audio off, then it will paste to the tracks it was copied from.

    The other problem I have with the 'toggle' shortcuts is that they REQUIRE the source or timeline panes be selected - they do not work if program monitor is selected. These kind of keystrokes shouldn't be pane specific - they should be global.

    You can assign keyboard shortcuts to track selectors, but they are
    a. seperate for program and source,
    b. there’s no deselect or select all (but you can toggle video/audio tracks separately), and
    c. no auto patch.

    Those have seperate feature requests.

    Agree that it requires much more mousing than Avid

    You can see them in frame view - there’s an icon in the thumbnail you hover over. I think sometimes it shows on the list view if you hover over the number in the useage column (may be version specific)

    Hi Florian,

    while this is a rather critical and large change to the way the application works and will take some time to be implemented, we’ll definitely put this under consideration.

    There’s more than one solution to this problem, though.

    A good short term opportunity is to use the parallel install feature in the creative cloud application. It should help to at least take away some of the issues working with people on a different version of the application.

    Another thing worth keeping in mind is that you can install CC on two different machines (if you’re on an individual subscription). That gives you additional opportunity to keep different versions around for compatibility reasons.

    I’ll update the status of this request as we move along.

    If you have further thoughts on this matter, please keep them coming.

    Thanks
    Patrick

    I've had to 'downgrade' projects in the past - and have done so by opening the project in a text editor and adjusting the 'version number'. Caveat emptor - I'm sure there's something it will break - but it hasn't been a problem for me.
