    Hi Dakota,

    Thank you for reporting these issues. The black screen flash should be resolved by disabling Automatic Graphics Switching in the Energy Saver system preferences pane.

    Hi Björn,

    Thank you for your careful attention to detail and for reporting this. After Effects changed the Lighten and Soft Light blending modes in 15.1, which was 2018, to conform to the Adobe blending standard so it would be consistent with other Adobe applications. These blending modes in After Effects should now match Photoshop, for example. Please let us know if you see otherwise.

    The Paint Palette has a Duration popup with an option for Single Frame. Are you looking for something different than this?
