Instead of inserting a .png, you could instead insert a motion graphics template (.mogrt), and update its parameters with the text from the .xml.

Would you want us to show _all_ marker text, from all clips in the multicam clip?

If not, how would PPro select _which_ source clip's marker text to show?

Adobe offers a solution for this, today.

    https://www.adobeexchange.com/creativecloud.html

If plug-in/extension vendors sell through the Adobe Exchange store, the Creative Cloud Desktop application will make sure each users's licensed plug-ins/extensions are installed when they log onto that machine. Stipulated; most plug-in vendors don't sell through Exchange.

Licensing aside, plug-ins and extensions can rely on Creative Cloud Desktop to sync their settings into the CC user's profile folder, on any machine they use.

We provide APIs that let anyone create Importers and Exporters for any codec.

We're happy to help, AND this isn't a great place for API bug reports.

May we contact you at the email address you use, for User Forums?

    > Are you saying with the help of an AEGP an effect plug-in can be applied...

No, I was completely setting aside effect plug-ins; AEGPs can control streams directly.

For the example you provide, an AEGP could display as a panel, offering two layer picking pop-ups (the AEGP would likely want to update available layers, based on the currently active Comp), and computing a value for that point control.

Where is that point control coming from, by the way; one of the layers? Some other property?

    Hi James,

The new entry point definition has nothing to do with offering stream access to effect plug-ins.

Happily, AEGPs have had access to parameter streams for years! See the 'Streamie' and 'Panelator' AEGP samples in the plug-in SDK, and feel free to ask us questions.

Our C++ Importer plug-in API (supported in Premiere Pro, Audition, Media Encoder and After Effects) is already used by several third parties to implement frame serving, as you've described.

Can you provide specifics, on what doesn't 'work properly'?

We talk with Red Giant regularly, and they haven't reported any such problems. We're happy to help, given actionable specifics...

    You're correct!

I dumped the display names from that timeless .mogrt classic, 'Basic Lower Third':

    param 0 is named Text
param 1 is named Main Title
    param 2 is named
param 3 is named Secondary Title
    param 4 is named
    param 5 is named
param 6 is named Globe Animation
param 7 is named Rotation Speed
    param 8 is named
param 9 is named Longitude Offset
param 10 is named Latitude Offset
param 11 is named Angle Offset
    param 12 is named
    param 13 is named Styling
param 14 is named Main Color
param 15 is named Highlight Color
param 16 is named Main Text Color
param 17 is named Secondary Text Color

Further investigation indicates that checkbox params don't have a displayName property; we keep their param descriptions on the other side of the checkbox, to improve clarity.
