Yes, this should be a no brainer!

I shoot on a Blackmagic camera and I still can't import/use raw footage with a 3:1 compression natively inside of Premiere pro. Are there plans to implement this in the future?

Yes, I've been having quite a bit of trouble with Team Projects lately regarding not just larger projects, but more complex ones involving Ae and Ai clips for example. This is on a newer maxed out iMac i7 with High Sierra.

This would be HUGE and speed up the workflow to enable this somehow.

Well, this command is technically working, just not like it used to. Now, in order to Reveal In Finder, you have to go to the root level of your bin and then it works. BUT, this way adds an extra step and more time to the workflow. Over the course of an editing day, that can add up.
