I've been extremely frustrated by the exact same bug.

I edit Hollywood movie trailers for a living. I use Optical Flow a lot in every sequence to fine tune the timing of shots. At same time I rely on Lumetri Color to make things look great.

The fact that Lumetri Color breaks Optical Flow for playback is not only very annoying, it's also slowing me down - and I am constantly up against very tight deadlines and fast turn-around times.

Please, Adobe! It's nice that we get new Premiere Pro features once a year, but if you could fix bugs like this one first - that would be applauded by everyone in my industry.

    Thank you.

It also happens across systems - just received a sequence from my co-editor - we have a Tube-Modeled Compressor effect with the Voice Thickener preset on every dialogue clip.

Copied his sequence into my project, opened it up and every single compressor effect was reset to zero.

The majority of Premiere Pro users may not go near compression effects, but for those of us who do and whose daily income depends on an NLE that is robust and allows you to work fast - this is a HUGE DEAL.

After I reported the tube-modeled compressor resetting itself to zero when a sequence is duplicated, it's happening to my co-editor on his system as well. Seems to be isolated to the family of compression effects. Very frustrating. We use compressors a lot, it's an incredibly annoying bug.

As Wes noted, we are looking at many areas for optimization and have made strides in the last few releases already.

We recognize there are still many areas to improve performance and we are investing in appropriate areas.

Threads that are catch-alls are often non-actionable. Please keep giving us specific feedback on what workflows are slow for you.

Technical solutions may not always be as obvious as some people may be suggesting as the application architecture is often very different than people’s conception.

Short answer. Yes, we want to and will make it faster.

I could not agree more. It would be extremely helpful when working with lots of open sequences (as I do all the time).
