A brand new expressions engine built on modern JavaScript will ship in our next release and is up to 5x faster. You should see the biggest speed boosts with more complex expressions.

AAF export is currently broken in Premiere v12.0.1. We haven't upgraded to 12.1.1 as there seem to be a lot of other bugs and we want to make sure it's more stable before moving the office over.
In any case, the bug fix list for v12.1.1 didn't mention the AAF issues we were having, which were that clips would be randomly out of sync in Pro Tools. I have already posted a Bug Report/Feature request for that item, but either way the OMF issue is something that should be fixed or deprecated.
