Thanks for all the feedback. It’s pretty clear that we’ve got to look into the workflow using this format more closely, there are enough reports about gaps at this point to reopen this item. I’ll post more info about next steps shortly. In the meantime, a couple of questions are easy to answer:

    - The plugin is designed for Premiere Pro. It currently doesn’t provide support for After Effects.
    - It does work with AME, so if you want to use it for batch processing, that’s very doable
    - If you’ve started a project with Autokroma, there’s no easy way to transfer it to be running with the new plugin.

    Patrick

Track Targeting determines Paste behavior. An NLE should never "assume" what the editor wants, and this is the only way for PP to "know" which track you want to paste to.

This is controlled by Track Targeting, and is the best way for PP to know which tracks the editor wants to Paste onto.

Be sure to use the Media Browser in Premiere Pro for all Import duties.

In 15 years of using Premiere Pro I've never once "accidentally" changed the workspace. Nor has anyone ever complained about it in the forums.

I don't think this issue warrants the use of Adobe's limited resources.

LUTs are very small files. It's not a big deal to copy them over with the project file.

It IS a big deal for Adobe to spend limited resources on adding new features.

I don't think this is a big enough issue to warrant those resources.

You can work while the proxies are being created in AME, but you do have to wait for those jobs to be created and sent to AME for processing. It's the same when sending a sequence over to AME, you have to wait for that job to be created as it is, blocking all changes that might interfere with that job creation.

The difference is only the amount of jobs being created.

A Global or even a Project level preference would be a welcome addition here, assuming the capability to override exists.

I believe the current behavior is superior to your proposed behavior. Sequences are fundamentally different than clips, and so warrant different treatment.

You're assuming that all editors want the name to change in both places. That's most definitely NOT true. Having it your way would be disruptive to a LOT of editors.

Dolby changed the licensing. This affects other software as well (like Resolve), not just Premiere Pro.

The forums are the appropriate place to get help. This is simply a reporting system.
