I'm curious how the 'remove duplicate' function works in the new update. My facility is gun-shy about upgrading because upgrades tend to cause headaches.

I'm totally with you about the duplicate named bins Michael.

In terms of what I'd like (since let's be honest, it's never going to be 100%) is a way to point at two or more clips or multicam sequences and tell Premeire that they are the same thing. At least that say I can manually remove duplicates fairly quickly.

I would also like to add that a particular grievance for me is getting duplicate multicam sequences. If an assistant editor or a story producer is stringing a sequence together and I import it into my project, very often, I'll wind up with two copies of all the multicam sequences that the sequence contains.

Thanks for your input on how to improve the browser and the details on how you are organizing your Motion Graphics templates.

I know it's not exactly the same, but a couple releases ago they did add a close gap command. By default it closes every single gap in the timeline (not useful for me) but you can lasso select a bunch of clips and it'll close all the gaps, which I do find useful.
I do miss the functionality you describe though, ripple delete requites the gap to be selected in order to work, in my experience.
