Agreed. When you have tonnes of tracks a shortcut to disable all isn't good enough because you then have to go back and click a load of tracks to select them again. There aren't shortcuts for track selection beyond track 8. I want my track selection to stay as I had it without introducing a whole load of extra work every time I copy and paste.

@DavidK - over 200 people have voted to say they don't want both options. We just want the default behaviour to be that clips are pasted onto the same tracks UNLESS a new track is specifically toggled on.

@Wes Howell - This is still marked as under review but a new version of Premiere has just been released. Does this mean the request has been rejected?

This gets my vote. Point tracking is needed so often and sometimes we just want it done quick and dirty track rather than 'properly' in After Effects. A quick phone screen replacement for instance, or tracking a graphic to a point on screen.

Throwing my hat into the ring on this as well. Little things like this would be a huge help.

@ Antoine - excellent work! Thank you. At least we have a workaround now.

At this point I have no faith that the people behind Premiere understand the needs of higher end collaborative workflows. This request is so obvious that it shouldn't even need to be asked.

As a community we need to get past the idea that the multi-cam method is anything but a really poor workaround for audio syncing. It's not what it was designed for, and if we are requesting enhancements to it we're asking the wrong questions.

When you sync audio using multi-cam:
    - Every clip ends up with a ridiculous yellow box around it when you play it in the source monitor.
    - You can't double click to load the audio into the source monitor (it just opens the multi-cam timeline).
    - There are no options to trim the synced timelines to match the video clip length.
    - You have to manually change the multi-cam timecode if you want it to match the source clip timecode

The list goes on quite a while longer. Basically we all just want syncing to behave the way it does in Avid or Resolve, i.e. new, synced clips that contain all of the audio metadata and with the option to rename the clips based on scene/take metadata from the audio files.

Yes, I totally agree that adding an option to sync using sound timecode is essential, but please can everyone vote for the guy asking the right questions?

Adobe have been passing the buck on this for years by claiming that it's the responsibility of Blackmagic to make this possible. That argument falls flat when every other piece of software I use handles it all perfectly though.

Please address this Adobe! It's really basic stuff.

Love this idea. I'd also love a preference for a default gap length so that, say, 5 second gaps could be added with a single shortcut without needing to set in/our points. Basically Avid's 'add filler' shortcut.

Very well said. Agree with everything here. It feels like nobody involved in designing this workflow has ever had to actually use it.
