Moving the entire project folder and then moving the Premiere project out into the root folder, as pictured below, does not work.
As you suggested, James, opening up the project file (when it resides in its project folder), the video file is found automatically whereas mogrts has to be relinked manually (picture 2), even though they're in the same subfolder as before they were moved into the Watch folder.

I can see now that it works if I use Project Manager to export the project to a subfolder of Watch folder first and then drag the prproj-file into the Watch folder.

This seems to happen only when I am creating line breaks in the EG panel in After Effects. I tried reducing to one line, and now "Text Properties" field is gone in Premiere. Changing to to lines - still no "Text Properties", but once I create three line breaks, the label appear in the middle of the slider beneath.

Hello James,
I've since managed to get the mogrt not to fail -- seemingly by excluding a comp I am using for catching errors. This is the original aegraphic + PP project that failed: https://fil.email/ydKJNotO?&showconfirmation=true
While this is the AE project- The comp in question is under folder WIDE > "WIDE-SUPRING-MASTER" (sent to aebugsAn error occurred while saving the comment Kjetil Svendsen commented
This is basically the same issue as
https://adobe-video.uservoice.com/forums/911311-after-effects/suggestions/36528523-using-same-variable-in-two-different-master-proper
Sorry about double posting.Kjetil Svendsen shared this idea ·

Thank you for filing this bug report.
It would be helpful if we could inspect your project file to see exactly what is happening. We only need the .aep file, not any source media.
Post a link to your file here, or if you prefer not to post publicly you can send it to aebugs@adobe.com. (If you send to that address: A) Do not send .zip files, they will be blocked; renaming to .thisisazipfile is OK. B) Post a comment here when you have sent the email. I need to manually check that inbox.)

Thanks Tim. I have since tried to fix the problem by creating variables for each master comp, so that they're not referring to the same variable.
I have also simplified one of the subcomps which had another subcomp in it.
In addition I removed a comp I have been using for catching errors.
Moreover, I've removed line breaks in the comment field in the EG-panel (just mentioning it)
One of these changes has made the mogrt work fine in Premiere.
I am now in the process of reverting back - step by step - to see which one of these made PP crash, and it seems the catch error comp ([errorMessage]) is causing the disturbance. The AE project has been sent to aebugs@adobe.com

I have a master comp with to sub comps consisting of three text layers each. The two sub comps are lower thirds left and light aligned, but there are three hidden text layers for input from Essential Graphics and I want to link the content of these to both left and right comps respective Master Properties.
Once I try to add the variable from the master comp to the second comp's master propert and change the check box value from off to on After Effects crashes.Kjetil Svendsen shared this idea ·

Agreed. They've added size now, but without access to other parameters, like "leading", the size really doesn't work like expected.

It’s safe to say that we are considering open and closed captions together, so this suggestion now reflects that.
Please continue to weigh in on the value of both or either in the comments below.

Should I add a different post for Open Caption abilities?

Thanks for replying.
I was thinking basicly doing a multiple selection of files in the project panel and having a menu item saying "export selected as mogrts".
Also, if you choose a CC Library, please check to see if the file name exists and ask if you want to replace it/them (remember check boxes for "don't ask me again" (ie replace w/o asking next time) and "do this for the next x files" if applicable to more files.Could you recommend a website where I could find scripting examples of batch exporting?
Cheers, Kjetil

This keyword thing sounds nice. But have you added this to After Effects?

Hi Tim. Thanks for your reply.
Ok, this sounds like a good start if I want to start using Git for version control of my mogrt-project.
However - a couple of suggestions.
Instead of having to declare the function each time, how about adding @import MyFunctions.jsx which will enable me to use the functions in several expressions. Also, how about having files for the expressions themselves, not just the functions it references, so that these could also be updated from outside AE, and hence version controlled when collaborating with others.
(Or just add the possibility to Export to Motion Graphics Template when working in Team Projects (I've filed this under a separate post)).

@Duduf: How would I go about linking to the jsx?
Do they have to be imported each time or would I be able to edit the jsx outside of AE?Kjetil Svendsen shared this idea ·

Using Project Manager to export the project directly to the Watch folder (as a subfolder) and then dragging the project file into the root Watch folder works.
