    Several good suggestions here! Thanks.

For #5, you should be able to do this now by typing the name of the behavior in the Puppet panel's search text field.

You can do this in the Keyboard Shortcuts editor (Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts), then search for the Create Take from Scene Audio command to assign the shortcut you want.

Limb IK is currently in development and available in the Beta version of Character Animator. You can install the Beta by going into the Creative Cloud desktop app, and then clicking the "Beta apps" category (in the left sidebar).

Decreasing Stretchiness to 0% is the current workaround.

Is this with an external USB webcam or internal (e.g., on a laptop)?
Dimmer lighting conditions can impact how well the face tracking can locate facial features.
Also, is the problem happening all the time or ocassionally? Check for any other resource-intensive applications that might also be running at the same time.

Does the quadruped hack described in this video help resolve the issue for you?

If you select the replay (in the Replays section), move the playhead where you want it in the Timeline panel, then choose Edit > Paste, it'll paste the replay's contents starting at the playhead. However, currently, keyframes in the replay are pasted as equivalent take bars.

This should work right now. Just drag one swap set to the other. You can see an example of this with the Chloe example puppet, in which you drag the "Left Hand" swap set onto the "Right Hand" swap set -- each trigger in the swap set now points to two layers instead of one.

To help isolate what's going on, can you try double-clicking the .psd file in Windows Explorer or Finder to see which app is associated with .psd files? That's all that Character Animator is doing -- invoking the OS's default app assigned to .psd files.

Moving to Previous/Next Frame is currently assigned to the Ctrl/Command + Left/Right Arrow shortcuts, so is consistent with After Effects. It was chosen because if you have a puppet that uses the Walk behavior and you wanted to control its left/right walking interactively, that is controlled via Left/Right Arrow key, so it avoids the conflict with that.

if you don't have any puppets that need that Walk functionality, you can reassign or add the Left/Right Arrow key shortcuts to the Previous Frame and Next Frame commands in the Keyboard Shortcuts editor (Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts, then search for Previous Frame or Next Frame).

Currently, you can enable the Show Mesh button at the bottom of the Scene or Puppet panels to see how handle placement affects the density of the mesh.

If you enable the work area and set it to the desired duration, then use the Timeline > Record Take for Work Area menu command, that'll create a take for the armed-for-record parameters within the work area.

If the puppet tracks are armed (red record button for the track is enabled), then all of those puppet tracks will respond to the webcam and microphone at the same time. You can select multiple puppet track Arm for Record buttons by Shift-clicking them (or Command-click on macOS, Ctrl-click on Windows).

Can you tell us if you are trying to control 2 characters simultaneously with 2 performers? If you want to do that, you can do it by running 2 instances of Ch and bringing both sources into a program like OBS.

Are you wanting to horizontally scroll the Timeline? Try holding down Shift while spinning the mouse wheel or swiping vertically on a trackpad.

For zoom in/out, hold down Alt/Option while using the mousewheel/trackpad.

If you increase Mouth Strength (and have the Mouth group as independent) it should do some parallax. Mouth Strength will also scale the mouth, though.

If you started the project in version 1.1, then opened it in the version 1.1 again, you'll get a prompt saying that you'd lose any changes you made in 1.5. You should be able to uninstall 1.5 and reinstall 1.1 by selecting the Other Versions option for Character Animator CC in the Creative Cloud application.

If you could share a copy of the project folder (just zip up the project folder, and also include any artwork files if they weren't copied into the project folder), we can try to diagnose what might be going on. You can either post it here or e-mail me a link at almasol at adobe dot com. Thanks.

Thanks for the screenshot. So did the problem happen again, or was this just a one-time thing? We haven't been able to reproduce the issue so far.

Hi Axel, able to upload somewhere and share a link, or clarify which menu this was?

Also, are you on Mac or Windows?

    Thanks.

Could you assign the different backgrounds to triggers in a swap set, each trigger associated with a different key, so that switching is immediate?

For opacity, could you use the Fader behavior (with trigger key assigned) to fade in the background? Position X for Transform associated with a MIDI slider could be used as well?

Thanks for the feedback. It'd be helpful to have these as separate ideas here so that they'll be easily tracked.

Interesting idea for having a cycle-based trigger drop zone.
