One thing I've noticed is that if the color check is being done in After Effects, e.g. re-importing the export and checking the color with the info panel, the color will appear to have shifted because AE is color managing the footage. If you select Interpret Footage>Color Mgmt and select preserve RGB, that will give you a much better result. Caveat, I'm not sure how others on here are checking color fidelity, but that answered mine (and our producers) questions quickly.
