I'm using Apple's Compressor to make proxies using a .mov wrapper with h.264 encoding with audio as passthrough because new cameras record 4 channel audio. It would be great if Media Encoder allowed audio passthrough and h.264 encoding for .mov files. We need audio passthrough because proxy audio must match source audio. In AME only ProRes proxy allows audio passthrough but ProRes proxy files are still too big for editors to download in a timely manner.
Making 3.5Mbps h.264 proxies really speeds up remote/work from home workflows and it would be awesome to be able to make the proxies without having to jump between Apple and Adobe software.Another great feature for proxy creation would be to maintain original file date created/modified and also allow a "drill down" view of folders containing media so you can select media from multiple nested folders at once.

Thanks for all the feedback so far.
It is one of many areas we are looking into.

being able to copy media and follow the folder structure on the hard drive (or from multiple servers as folders) when media managing would be absolutely crucial in these days of COVID work from home. Please please please make this an option. It would make prepping drives for editors who are editing old content thousands of times easier.

Not only this, but they need to allow us to use audio passthrough for building proxies.
