Hi!
I would like to add on to this (let me know if I should submit separately):
It would be great if there was a way to (a) retain the media size without cropping/scaling to fit a precomp and (b) get the height of the replaced media. Here is my use case:
I am building a motion graphic template that has an area to swap out a logo. The logo is positioned via an expression from the bottom edge of the comp. There is text positioned above the logo via an expression relative to the top of the logo. This way, the positioning/spacing of everything is responsive depending on the height of the logo. However, when setting it up for a media replacement, there doesn't seem to be a way to grab the height of the newly replaced logo, only the precomp. -

This is by design. We always keep captions within safe margins (10%). Would an option to defeat this restriction be useful or is it better to remove this safeguard all together. Opinions welcome.

Might be useful to enable users to be able to define the safe margin percentage, so if you wanted to enable use of the full screen, you would set the safe area to 0%
I often find myself wanting to adjust this based on the video application

I am using mogrts that I created in AE + put responsive time protected regions in AE.
So if I use these in Premiere and change the duration of the mogrt clip, there is no way to reset the duration?

+1 Yes, I just submitted a duplicate request before I found this one.
The ask is that markers from the AE comp be visible in Pr when the AE mogrt is applied

We have completely redesigned the captioning workflow in Premiere Pro version 15.0. While we haven’t yet added curved corers to the background, you will see many dramatic workflow improvements. Please update to the latest version.
Learn all about the new captions workflow here: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/user-guide.html/premiere-pro/using/working-with-captions.ug.html

YES PLEASE! Needs markers or some other kind of indicator of the time regions. Same as this request: https://adobe-video.uservoice.com/forums/911233-premiere-pro/suggestions/43402731-add-protected-region-markers-in-premiere-mogrt-t
