    I use Q & W in my current workflow for expediency in removing the fat -- however, Q and W are quite different in that they ripple delete and trim edit to playhead, closing the gap. What I am suggesting differs in that the selected clip remains in the same place on the timeline, the clip is trimmed to the exact placement of the playhead and the playhead itself does not move. For example.. it would be similar to holding down option on the keyboard while clicking and dragging the edit point to your current playhead position in the timeline, however, in DaVinci Resolve, you can perform this simple task in one keystroke. Please advise!
