We use 2 control surfaces in our facilities, PreSonus ioStation24c and Loupedeck (not really a control surface).

Being that we cannot afford downtime, I completely restaged 2 of the boxes. Clean installs of OS, Adobe CC etc... I too am unable to replicate the issue using the clean installs.

On a 3rd box I completely removed CC and reinstalled. I did not re-stage the OS etc. This also seamed to work.

One note, we didn't have this issue prior to V15. It was post update to V15 that we had the issue.

It does seam like a new install OR a fresh install of CC seams to clear whatever the issue was.

I still have 2 systems that are in the original state. I'll get video for you as well as grab logs if you need them.

Whoops, I usually add that. Here you go:

Premiere Pro Version 15.0.0 (Build 41)
MacOS Big Sur 11.2.3 (Build 20D91)

I've tested this on several machines: i.e. 2 MacPros' and iMac Pro and a MacBook Pro. All running the same version of Premiere. The MacPro's were running Catalina. Same result.

This is a great request that is certainly something we want to implement. Rest assured our engineers DO understand the importance of this feature and how to get the job done. We also know that the performance and stability of the app should be our #1 priority and that is where our focus is right now.

Very interesting. All machines do have control surfaces. I removed them and it did resolve the crash when new track was added. I had a combination of Presonus and Loopdeck. Both control surfaces had to be fully removed. Interesting thing is this only started happening for us on V14.6 and V14.7.

I uninstalled prefs, no joy. Still an issue. I can also replicate this issue on several machines.
