We understand that retiring a part of the software can create issues for some users. We are doing our best to make this a slow and steady process and are adding needed features along the way. Most importantly, we have added the ability to convert Legacy Titles into Source Graphics. While not all characteristics will translate perfectly, this should give you really good results in most cases.
We’re not just taking something away, we’re adding functionality to Essential Graphics constantly. Our team is working hard to make sure it meets your workflow needs. And if it doesn’t – we want to know about it.
If you feel that there is a specific feature missing in Essential Graphics please create a single UserVoice post for it, e.g. for Inner and Outer Strokes. This way it is much easier for others to vote on something actionable.

I think it’s become clear that the Legacy Title is favoured by a large number of Premier users.

That’s not to say that EG is bad, per-se. I’m sure some favour it and new users won’t know any different.

But the feedback on this forum over the years demonstrates how many customers still rely on LT for their workflow, finding it preferable and more user friendly. I have to say, I’ve been a Premier user for 20 years and have really tried to adapt to EG. Honestly, I don’t find it as useful or intuitive. To me, it’s always felt messier and clumsier. Of course, it’s perfectly functional and does what it’s supposed to, but it’s replacing something that was (IMHO) better…plain and simple. I think that’s what the backlash and frustration is about. Why have Adobe changed something that didn’t really need changing with something that’s not as good in so many ways?

Furthermore, it’s hard to understand why it needs to be retired. Surely it can remain with the option for users to drag it on to a hot key or icon? It seems like the simplest and most acceptable solution for all.

Adobe can continue investing in EG, improving that over time with user feedback, while maintaining LT for those who prefer it.

Is that something Adobe would consider?

I wholeheartedly agree with these comments. There's a clear community need to keep the legacy title and yet Adobe haven't even tried to acknowledge the dialogue, instead continuing the process of removing the feature. It's a deeply worrying approach to software development when the people who use it are best placed to feedback on what's important and what's useful. At the very least, they should engage asap and begin a two way communication.
