I have a moderate sized project that I'm working on today (75 layers in the current comp), however moving keyframes is an absolute pain. I'll click and drag a keyframe to move it, then release the mouse, the keyframe will go where I put it, then the keyframe will jump as if I was still holding the keyframe. It makes editing using the mouse almost unusable because the UI is so laggy.

This is especially a problem with high dpi monitors (and I'd bet that 95% of working professionals have high dpi screens). Today I used the shortcut "s" to bring up my scale property. I waited 3 seconds before it popped up. I love faster render times, but a slow UI is unacceptable.

Either this or update the set matte effect. This is the problem -> I have a layer with animation on it that needs to be used as a matte. So I duplicate it, go into key properties (often with parametric shape layers) and use the expression pick whip to connect them via expressions. Then I duplicate this layer a couple times for different uses in mattes and already I have project with tons of expressions. Precomp this layer you say? Yes, that would work, but only sometimes depending on the project. Just update set matte or make it so you can alpha matte with the pick whip like you can with parenting.

When I'm animating with a bunch of keyframes my eyes just get lost. I don't know which is which. Allowing me to add a color (nothing crazy, just the options available for layers) would be such a time saver.

Or if hiding it scares the UI team too much, just please don't make it a modal window. When you're in the flow and you get interrupted it gets annoying. Or, even better, just make it appear in the info column like everything else AE is doing.

I believe what people really want most is to align in XY space. But yes, I've done this so many times. I try to align a 3D layer, doesn't work. I make it a 2D layer, align it, then make it 3D again and add back any previous transformations I had. Please fix this.

I don't care about the images, I even appreciate them because they are made by fellow ae artists, but the WHITE! When I opened up after effects for the first time with the new white screen I literally thought something on my computer was broken. Everything about it was wrong since none of the apps have white backgrounds.

Today is 11/30/2020. Videos I rendered out several days ago have a date of 12/4/2020. I've been shrugging off this issues for several months, but it's getting really annoying, especially when I need to find files via timestamps.

Clicking and dragging a keyframe to then not have it move, then jump forward a couple seconds later, is super annoying. It makes it really difficult to work quickly.
