    All,

first of all I wanted to thank everyone for making this a productive conversation over the last couple of days.

As several people responded to my comment about keeping the tone civilised, I need to dwell on that for a minute. Please hear me out, this is important to everyone on my crew and I hope it will be to you.

Saying that we shouldn't be surprised when things get heated is very problematic in my opinion. How do you expect a junior person on my team to respond to a technical question when it is combined with something that can easily be described as hate speech? How do you think we can actually come together on actual issues when there's already the assumption that we're a big faceless corporation, not even listening to our customers?

People on my team have received threats. I've been there over the years,…

Joe D, I honestly can't understand the hyperbole that you are bringing to this thread. If you hate the boot of adobe, move off the platform. For our shop, we completely make our living on Adobe products. While I was frustrated by the export window change, the bulk of the product has been enhanced way beyond any competing product.

The Adobe ecosystem is unparalleled in its robustness. We cannot survive without AE. The improvements to PP are extraordinary - from the effects (ultra key), to transcriptions, Lumetri, the Essential Sound and Graphics panels, and now Frame iO, and all these improvements have been steadily deployed and improved over the past few years and have dramatically enhanced the product.

We are a cross platform shop; the adobe ecosystem works mostly flawlessly across the platforms, including several different OS too. We don't crash and production bottlenecks are minimal from the software side. We have looked at DaVinci and FCPX and neither will be robust enough to serve our needs and the needs of our clients.

We are buying 5 licenses and adobe is running our production enterprise. There is a reason why Adobe has an installed base of over 20 million users, and DaVinci and FCPX are under 5M.

My complaint was with the export window. The amount of blather brought into this thread about other complaints are not applicable to the issue.

ahhh, I almost wish I hadn't complained in the first place. So sorry admins!

Joe D - Adobe gets it. You don't need to go into unfulfilled promises. They have an extremely large base of users and won't please everyone.

Social media is the place to do the kind of commentary you are doing. This space is for polite, targeted comments about issues or improvements needed for the software. That is why your posts get flagged.

Having issues with the new export window. Too many clicks, and the layout is not user friendly. Last night had 26 renders come out wrong because the render to in and out was reverting back to the default instead of keeping previous settings.

It is highly inefficient and we also use the ability to easily capture the render name from the finder window.

This change dumbed the export window down similar to what FCPX did with Compressor. It is not user friendly. It is inefficient. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I have this issue too. ME is encoding, PP is hidden, I am working on a script and PP comes crashing to the front to auto save. There is no need for PP to show up just because it is autosaving. This is disruptive to anything else that I am doing - in this case working through a script issue with a client at my elbow. He said - "Wow, why are you using that editor if it works like that?"

It can be disruptive and a bit embarrassing to have this happen. I don't think it used to behave this way.

It is worthless unless I can add my own libraries purchased and painstakingly curated over the past 20 years.
