I've been using C4D at a Studio I worked for and it was a brilliant Software. Seeing how Adobe is treating it now is just a shame cause it makes C4D look bad and pretty much malicious.
I randomly found it on my pc after installing AE to see how it runs on my new private pc. Never noticed a C4D install on my Mac at work until I searched for it and found a hidden stash of what felt like 5 different FULL versions of C4D each being a new update instead of replacing the old one. Even after the AE trial was uninstalled from my personal pc it keeps downloading C4D. It's like a curse!
I'm about do deinstall the whole creative cloud and cancel my private subscription to get this madness to stop it they can't give us a choice.
Again to be clear: I don't think C4D is bad and after reading into this I'm aware of the benifits AE is getting from it. I actually fully that. It's the way it is delivered and forced without giving the user a clear notice or choice. Since adobe moved to the subscription based pricing a lot of weird stuff has been happening and I struggle with finding good reasons to stay with their service...Lukas Prömper supported this idea ·
