As Wes noted, we are looking at many areas for optimization and have made strides in the last few releases already.
We recognize there are still many areas to improve performance and we are investing in appropriate areas.
Threads that are catch-alls are often non-actionable. Please keep giving us specific feedback on what workflows are slow for you.
Technical solutions may not always be as obvious as some people may be suggesting as the application architecture is often very different than people’s conception.
Short answer. Yes, we want to and will make it faster.

Again, you conveniently say nothing about Macs! I nearly dropped $5000 on a new editing system before realizing that Adobe and Apple are behaving like children and refusing to address their customers concerns.

I have recently been learning about Adobe’s poor support of GPU, especially on MacBooks using external GPUs. This whole situation is ridiculous and adobe needs to answer explicitly what they’re going to do.

Can you share what version of the OS you are using?
Did you update your GPU drivers at any point? What version is installed now?
Since this is a GPU issue, is it safe to say that this problem does not occur in Software Only mode?

Upvoted. I did not know until this week how poor adobe was in supporting GPUs. Final Cut and Resolve are blowing them out of the water. And they’re basically free!

Upvoted. This whole situation is childish and ridiculous. Adobe needs to be much more transparent with their customers regarding GPU/EGPU support on Macs. I’ve been an Adobe customer for years and I will probably be canceling my subscription this summer on account of their poor handling and lack of transparency.

I don't get why Adobe always misses the most obvious things...
