Better ability to track/locate/fix proxy files and proxy file errors
I have been getting a lot of proxy generation errors in Creative Cloud, especially for larger video files. The files are present on the timeline on my desktop, but the proxies are either not available in the "find and connect" option for mobile (iphone and ipad)., or they show up as octet files in the creative cloud folder on the web, but then do not show up as a loadable option in the app -- what even are octet files? This took me a very long time to track down and figure out, and what I ended up doing was manually creating proxy files from the full sized files using Media Encoder, and then uploading those files to Creative Cloud myself, and then making the link using "find and connect" on mobile. My manually created proxy files now function the same at the auto-generated proxies, which is great.
So this works, but it took hours of of figuring (no info online about what to do w for proxy errors or how to force Rush to re-generate proxies), and is very cumbersome & frustrating -- you typically don't know you have a broken proxy until you are in a mobile-use situation & you can't work from raw footage to fix the problem when you are not in the same location as your raw footage.
It would be great if Rush could identify when proxies are broken and regenerate them, or tell you that you have broken proxies and ask you if you want to, or to have an option to re-generate proxies from selected files from within the program. If this function exists, I can't find it. It seems like this exists in Pro -- maybe there's a simpler version to put in Rush.
