Import media from external storage using ipad
copying from external drive to internal of ipad uses tons of space which is not ideal for ipads with low storage capacity. PR should be able to import media directly from the external storage device.

Also allow import from NAS or shared drives within local network. i tried it and it is not working. it requires to copy the file from the shared drive to the local storage of ipad before you can import to PR.
